Hello,

I'm a student and I'm working on a project where I need to get the fuel consumptions of various Caterpillar Machines in GPH.

I have the Caterpillar performance handbook, but that does not have the fuel consumption for some of the machines I am looking for. For instance Cat 226B.

I was hoping someone could help me out with this. I have found the factor of 0.052 to get the GPH from the horsepower, but could someone give me a reference for how that number was arrived at?
