Hello.
Can somebody help me with one service letter. we dont have a very big Cat Power structure so info about marine products is not very big. So problem is that we have one customer yacht with serial two C32 engines, serial RNZ00484 and RNZ00479 and there is active service letter PI10880
There need to update PCP software, our engineer came to that Yacht and connect with ET thru connector on engine side and he see only both engines, but nothing more.
We found some info that maybe need connect thru junction box or there is something other? also this yacht is equiped with CAT multistation.
How can we connect to this PCP?
thanks

ok. im not sure about that we switch to dual link.
ET should be the latest, we update it in early january
but, ok, if we didnt switch to dual link and when connected didnt see PCP controller, but when choose winflash then this PCP should apear, or even then if we didnt switch to dual link we could not see this controller?

Open CatET

Select Preferences..
FOR Comm Adapter II

FOR Comm Adapter III
Select Caterpillar Comm Adapter 3 (RP1210)
Check Enable Dual Data Link Service
Click OK

Verify CDL and J1939 boxes are check for ECM Detection and WinFlash
You should be able to connect to the PCP from Port or Starboard service connector unsing J1939. The engines use CDL to connect.
