I have two Cat 3126B (2003) engines in our boat and had a power issue on the port engine after cleaning the air filter.  I couldn't get more than 1900 rpm out of the port engine and it was idling very rough.  I removed the air filter and reseated it and that seem to solve my problem.

But now I noticed the boost number on the marine power display on both engines was different.  The starboard engine read 1.1 and the port read 2.1.  What should this number be?

hello everyone, I see 3126b engine suffer many problems, well I recently went truoght same problems, good advice to you is, do not spend to much money buying parts, intead go directly to the computer diagnose shop and same some money, I sure above engine loosing power will be but injectors.  Let me know if you need any other advice, also I replaced injector sleeve because smoke and oil in the radiator etc.  I got my own invented tool to take out such sleeves...thanks guys
