Hi guys.

I just finished cleaning the after coolers of my 3126 420hp engines(engines with 1050 hrs very well maintained). Finally the black smoke that bothers me for some time has gone with this job. But now there is a white smoke coming out of the exhaust of both engines. I think the smoke was there before cleaning the aftercooler but was covered by the black smoke.

The engines run well with no apparent malfunction. All the gauges, temp, turbo pressure, exhaust gas temp, etc seem ok. Recently I made a 7 hrs, 160 NM non stop with no indication that there is something wrong.

Any suggestion on what can be producing this white smoke.

Dear Marcos

The white smoke is an indication of fuel in the system or cold weather start up problem.

The best would be to work with your local dealer to identify the cause to resolve this issue.
