I have a 3160 marine engine and can't locate the serial numbers on the block.The tag on the valve cover is missing.
On my other 3208, the numbers are stamped on the passenger side rearward just below the heads.
Any sugestion?

There may be a serial number tag on the block where the fuel injection pump passes thru and meets the front cover.

It may be hidden by the coolant expansion tank or other items.

Im also recalling 3208 and this may not be on a 3160
