I would like to know when my Cat 3116 engine was built. Serial # 2BK13806. I would like to add an engine braking system, and need more information. Thankyou, Tim

Not sure on the engine brake, I think the only type you could do is an aftermarket exhaust brake.  Search the internet for it. .

Thankyou very much Cat-tech! The Jacobs exhaust brake may work, but I may need modifications to the engine, according to their website. I will look into it further. I am planning a trip on I-70 over the Rockies with my 25000# motorhome (allison MT643 transmission) and would feel better if I had a suppliment to the brakes. I just bought the motorhome and don't have a feel for the brakes on such a descent. Thanks, Tim
