Hi all :
This is the case of a marine D-399 engine ( total hours 11,000 built 2004) ,just repaired at Dry Dock ... after its first 300 hours of working hours , started to ask for more engine oil. Aparently there is no leaks outside the engine , but its oil comsuption is becoming a concern . Turbo´s seal , and and other componets had been check ....but no idea where it is going the oil . Any thoughs?

there is soaking time when engine oil absorbed by tank, piping, valves etc.
after some time engine oil consumption becomes stable.
oil seal and oil flow circuit must be check for leakage.
how is its exhaust smoke colour? whitish/black/ or?
