c 13 variable valve actuator

Got a c 13 in the fleet that 6 months ago had a code for #5 valve actuator, replaced assembly and had no more problems. Last week had another code now for #2, replaced all actuator assemblys and the next day light came on again and now it is for low oil pressure to valve actuators. Spent a couple of hours going through all the tests and only found that the pressure sensor was loose, but not leaking.

Drove truck (bobtailed) 30 miles and no light and no problems. Driver picked up truck and hooked to a loaded trailer and made it 2 miles down the road and light came on and derated  power. Am i to assume that this system only works under heavy engine load? And what is the next step? Should the ecm have been reflashed after replacing assemblies? Could this be an ecm issue? Pressure sensor  tested perfect . Is there any way to measure oil pressure in the rail? Thanks for any help.

Re: c 13 variable valve actuator

How the sensor works, is it watches for pressure spikes in the rail when the IVA is commanded to actuate. This is the verify that the actuation really took place. There is no way to monitor the pressure with Cat ET. If your code was for not responding. I would first make sure that the IVA solenoids are of the 2 piece design. I then would make sure that the overhead adjustment is in specification. Then check the wiring to both the IVA solenoids and the IVA pressure sensor. If this has not shown you the problem , then I would replace the sensor.
