I have a problem with a 836g with a 3456 engine.

The fuel pressure drop to 70 psi at 10 or 12psi so the engine run rought. It could happen at each day or at 2 or 3 or 10 days.

The fuel tank as been remove and clean 2 time, all the ball valve and all the fuel lines have been change. I also change the filter housings, the fuel transfer pump, the relief and the 6 injectors. Everything about fuel have been change and sudendly the pressure drop. I install a sigh glass on the line and there is no air in fuel.

Please help because its began to be expensive.

I am in contact with my Caterpillar dealer and they dont know what to do.....

You did every thing on fuel system but the problum remain same, i things you have problum with the section line from the fuel tank to the fuel filter, also you check the section line from the fuet tank, if there is any crack on the top neck the pump will suck only the air instud of fuel or mabe the fuel line is in trept, section  in return and return in section, hope you will over come with the problum'

Thanks for help, we resolve the probleme, on the fuel line.Just before the separator ther was a fuel heater were the fuel was heat by the coolant.

After a lot of thusands dollars we simply bypass the **bleep***%?&&  fuel heater and the probleme was resolve.
