Hi Guys,

I have a 730 that has dead batteries.  I'm being told (as I am not on site) that the hood needs power to open, and that the batteries are under the hood.  How do I get this open?  Sorry for such a stupid question, but thanks in adavance!

Hello niceguy,

I believe that there are two batterys on this machine and they are located inside two battery boxes, one left and one right of the hood but not under the hood.  If I am not mistaken, there are access doors where you stand on the top of the macine next to the hood.  I do not think there is a need to left the hood in order to replace the batterys.

I took a couple of pictures of a 740 to show you where you can access the batterys.  On the 740, there is only one access door for batterys and it is on the left side of the machine.  If you email me your e-address in a private message, I will send the pictures to you.

im not sure if this machine is the same but ive ran into a similar problem on 740's.........Just use a two screwdrivers to stick down in the jumper connector and hook up a jumper box and then use the hood switch to open the hood
