New contribution to your webside for 3516 Engine generator.
Few years earlier, we had detected high vibration at generator cover on top side but not on the point where lifting lugs welded (Bearing outboard side)
there was difference between these two points' vibrations.
At generator cover top side vibration was around 15mm/s.
At generator cover bearing side was 10mm/s.
Dominating vibration frequency was xrpm to xrpm.
waveform pattern showing high peaks and very low time i.e conjusted patterns.
Engine load was 80%.
No bearing fault detected.
Winding temperature was ok around 75C.
Generator bearing temperature was ok around 55C to 75C.
vibration increases with load.
Problem is open for discussion? can anybody help us what could be the reason for it?
We have check few things and found some interesting which could save your generator windings.
