Power Generation: Site Design, Installation, and Connection

I am trying to design a generator pad and I was wondering if there are any rules of thumb for thickness? I've been told the wieght of the concrete pad should be 2-3x's the wieght of the generator. Which works out to 7", but this seems to thin to me. Is there any rule of thumb for the pad thickness? Is there a required thickness for the anchor bolts? Note the generator has internal vibration isolators.
