I have done much searching on the web but have not been able to find a specification on the minimum recomended load for this 800kW genset.....I do know that 30% is the generally specified minimum load for diesel generators in general but have been unable to find a reference to verify if that applies to this set.  The set has had problems with lube oil fuel dilution and I suspect that was caused at least in part by running on a very light load (about 20%) in the past...

The O & M manual generally should have this information.  Check with your local dealer.

Thanks, but I have the O&M manual (SEBU8088-03) for the genset and there is no reference to a minimum load.

Perhaps the service manual then.  Also, ask your local dealer to get the rating definitions from TMI for your serial #, sometimes TMI has the rating definitions with the load parameters that may assist you.

Thanks much, I will check with the dealer, have not been able to find a spec anywhere..   FWIW there is a thread in the genearator operations forum with the same question, that poster has been unable to find a spec either....but if I do get an answer I'll post both places
