Advice please,
We are about to sit down with an international project sponsor desiring to clean up their MSW and create electricity. As it is a small scale project we anticipate using about 50 Tons per day with a k/cal of 2600 Does CAT have a generator that runs on Syngas as the technology we are looking into creates the gas as a by - product and will create point five mw's (.5) Also, does the equipment run 24 / 7 or how often and long does the equipment need for down time?
Appreciate any insights.

Yes Caterpillar does have gensets that run on landfill or syngas. The spec sheets can be found by going to
http://www.cat.com/power-generation/generator-sets /gas-generator-sets
Drill down by installation location, and make sure you are on the "Continuous" tab.
Your local Cat dealer can provide lots more detail. See http://www.cat.com/dealer-locator
